Conference Program Overview

The conference was designed to enable all participants to discuss, debate and share information on key tobacco control issues and strategic planning. It achieves by offering the following types of sessions:

Plenary presentations each day identified and provided an overview of critical issues affecting tobacco control.

Major parallel sessions addressed these issues in greater depth.

Concurrent oral sessions around the conference themes provided opportunities to share
information and review what is happening in tobacco control in various jurisdictions

Interactive poster sessions around conference themes, with no competing oral session, provided all delegates with an opportunity to study the displays and discuss poster presentations with the authors.

The overall theme for the conference was Tobacco Control: A Blue Chip Investment with a sub-theme of SmokeFree: A healthy future
